Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the FO-CAL app and website. By accessing or using FO-CAL, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

FO-CAL is an AI-assisted calorie and nutrition tracking app. You photograph food and receive an editable estimate of calories and macronutrients, which you can adjust and save against a personalised daily allowance.

The service is provided “as is”. While we work hard to keep it reliable and accurate, we cannot guarantee that results will always be correct or available without interruption.

Food recognition and nutritional results are estimates. They are generated by AI and may not precisely match the food you photographed, its exact ingredients or its true nutritional content.

You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any entry before relying on it, and for making your own decisions about your diet and health. FO-CAL is intended for general information and personal tracking, not for medical diagnosis or treatment.

You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity on your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at modiford@gmail.com.

When using FO-CAL, you agree not to:

• Upload offensive, illegal or misleading photos or content.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or data.
• Scrape, copy or misuse the service’s data or content.
• Interfere with the service, its security or its availability.
• Use FO-CAL in a way that harms others or violates the law.

The FO-CAL name, logo, app design and content are protected intellectual property. You may not use the FO-CAL brand without our permission. When you upload your own food photos and entries, you retain ownership of that content.

FO-CAL uses trusted third-party services to operate, such as cloud hosting, app distribution through the App Store and Google Play, and payment processing handled by those platforms. Your use of those stores is also subject to their own terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you have paid for the subscription. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

FO-CAL is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is for general information and personal tracking. Anyone with a medical condition, eating disorder, pregnancy-related needs or specialist dietary requirements should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you experience a health emergency, contact emergency services.

We may update, add or retire features as FO-CAL evolves, and we may revise these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

You can stop using FO-CAL at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we suspect fraudulent, illegal or harmful activity. See Subscription Terms for what happens to your data and payments.

These Terms are governed by English law, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any dispute arising from your use of FO-CAL. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live.
